Here's John with a elephant's skull.

Here's Mary and I at the water's edge. The crocodile kept us alert.

Me, Mary and one of the guides, Biter.
The trunk of this tree is 33 feet or larger in circumference. Elephants eat the
bark and baboons eat the cream of tarter seeds from the fruit. At one time they
hollowed out the trunk of one of these trees and used it for a jail for up to 8
people.

Diane was lucky to find a leopard during the day in a open field. It just walked around our cars as though we weren't there. Leopards
weigh between 110 and 175 pounds.

Hippo, I didn't know it but more people are killed by hippos than any other animal. According to the guides they are ill tempered, big and just mean. They attack people without warning. The
guides seemed to keep them at a distance from us.

Another camp site. Here we were back with our beds and bush shower (Mary felt
like it was the Hilton compared to the night sleeping on the ground.)

A big crock, about 16ft long.. and more game drive photos

One afternoon we went to a water hole and ended up in the middle of about 75 elephants. ( No kidding)
I thought this guy was going to get in the 4X4 with us. This was taken with my normal lens.
The mature male african elephant has a shoulder height of 9 to 12 feet and
weighs between 10,000 to 15,400 lbs. As close as this guy got, he never even
made a mock charge at us, he simply turned and walked away.
Here we're leaving Adam, Biter and "in the dirt safari".
