Mary and I moved into this house on Valleywood Dr in 1984. We have great neighbors and it's close to many shops (Kohl's, Best
Buy, Lowes, Home Depot, etc), but it is on three floors and we don't have the extra room for our hobby's.
We have signed a contract to purchase a single family home in a Active adult community (one owner must be 55 or older - I
guess in age that is Sam, but maturity it must be Mary) which means that there are no medical or food services. These homes
are purchased and they are single family homes with all of the living space on the main level. There is a gated entrance and a
21,000 sq ft clubhouse with an indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fitness center, walking paths, putting green, golf driving
station, tennis courts and Bocce courts. This doesn't mean that I'm planning to retire any time soon, it just gives us more options
later.
The house will be located on the edge of woods similar to what we have now. It is the same size as our present home (2,300 sq
ft) but its all on one level. It has three bedrooms, two full baths, kitchen, eating nook, living rm, dining rm, and family rm and two
car garage with additional storage above the garage. There is a full unfinished walkout basement the same size of the main
level giving us about 4,600 sq ft under roof not counting the garage. We are planning on finishing the basement ourselves in the
spring of 2005. They will start construction of the house in August 2004 ; delivery is estimated to be February 2005. The house
will be constructed with the options we selected. As of today, we will be adding all 4 of the bay window options (Mary's request -
windows).
